Please Note:
Although there are no known cases of harm caused by ultrasound to the unborn child, PreView Imaging Centers limits the duration of exposure to comply with AIUM guidelines. Therefore, your scan may be broken into multiple sessions during your visit.
Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound with PreView Imaging Centers must already be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues. During the elective prenatal ultrasound session, we will be conducting a limited diagnostic scan to confirm the heartbeat, the number of babies in the pregnancy, the position of the baby, and the placental location. At no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic exam performed by your healthcare physician or person of his/her choice.
